🌬️ Enhanced Air Quality with Denso 453-6001 Cabin Air Filter Review

Bought for a 2007 Honda Fit - it will fit as well as a Honda filter (probably same supplier). It also fits better than comparable Wix and Pure filters.

Nothing fancy (like all new charcoal filters) but great price. I'd rather buy two and change more often. Perfect fit for my 2014 BRZ. When installing, make sure the words are placed correctly (the arrow should be pointing DOWN). My OEM was confusing because the arrow shows which side should be up, which is the opposite of how this one is marked.

Bought this for my daughter, a 2013 Scion FR-S 86. She didn't even know she had a cabin filter behind the glove box but when I saw the old filter removed it was crazy how dirty she was. This one was exactly the same as the OEM and in terms of value for money it was superior to what the local car dealers were offering. Installation was SUPER easy and took less than a minute and I'm a girl with very long nails.

This is a replacement filter, nothing more to say as I am sure it will do the job. The "Easy Install" part really comes from the car itself. On some cars you have to disassemble the dashboard to get to the filter. Luckily, the Scion/Toyota/Subaru 86/BRZ are consumer friendly in that regard. I would probably start changing it at every oil change given how easy it is to change and the price.

This filter isn't bad, but it's not perfect. It was slightly enlarged and had to be cut with scissors and the filter was STILL bulging letting in unfiltered air. I had to use a piece of cardboard to fill the gap at both ends. I have previously used an ECOGARD cabin filter (XC25863) and tried to save $0.34 by trying the Denso 453-6001 and was disappointed. Next time I will return to ECOGARD.

At the time of purchase, it cost a little more than the TYC version (cents, not even dollars). They appear to be equally well made. The installation instructions that came with the Denso element seem a bit more detailed to me (clearer direction/alignment of the filter in the tub). Otherwise they are indistinguishable. Good product, saves money compared to dealer exchange. It's easy to do it yourself.

bought for my 2015 Subaru BRZ. Several auto parts discount sites and Revain said it matched. Even the Subaru dealer had no issues with this fit after doing a multi-point check during my oil change. However, I wasn't really happy with the fit. The Subaru OEM filter fits flush into the cabin air filter box, while the Denso filter had to cover the box opening slightly. It won't cause any problems and it still does the job. But the filter seat really bothered me. I will be looking for an OEM Subaru

A stubborn mouse recently settled on our Cabin Air Filter (CAF) for a second time, having replaced an OEM CAF just a few months ago (used Honda that was purchased 3 years ago.)
