So disappointed. They didn't have a subtle shimmer, but looked more like a tri-color strobe or disco. I had to return them because they just distracted from the whole village, you see everything. I would leave them if they had the ability to have a solid light or if the color changes were less frequent or more subtle, but alas.

I love this little tree! We saw them in the holiday sales but they were $35 which seemed a little crazy so I bought them from Revain. A few reviews said it needed AA batteries, but this one fits what I wanted anyway. The LED will blink and it's just a happy, festive little Christmas decoration. We love it. I think they're made for people who build little Christmas villages, but we just put them on the table and it's very cool.

I have some friends who have this tree and this year I decided to get it. The ones I've seen are pluggable. This device is powered by 2 "C" batteries. At first I was annoyed because I usually hate battery operated things that light up. I put in 2 batteries a few days before Christmas and used it every day and it still works. I also think it's good that I can also place the tree in places where there is no outlet. All the seller needs to do is change the description and remove "no batteries…
