Looks great!: Replacement parts

Nice looking part, I had to cut some of the side for my cooler but knew it was going to be tight. It seems to have helped solve my cooling issues, but I haven't ridden it much so time will tell.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Something else

Loud fan noise when replacing parts

Overall the product worked as advertised. The quality of the product was good, the installation guide and accessories served their purpose. I installed this product on my Aluminum Rad 65 Mustang in less than an hour. However, the kicker came when the fan was switched on. The S-shaped fan blades sound like a siren. I could hear the fan noise over the noise of my engine in the car. Too much for me. I have returned the item.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Replacement parts don't last long

This is the second Derale fan I've bought for my 1994 Mustang. This fan only covers half of my Mishimoto radiator, but leaving it on doesn't get the car over 165 degrees. The fan pulls a ton of air and is a bit noisy, but no louder than my 408 with a 3" exhaust. However, the first fan mechanically froze and broke the circuit after 1500 miles. To be honest it has been over a 5 year period where the car has not been moved much and has been parked outside.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Time will tell Parts

It will not fit on the radiator of a 2004 TJ (leaves a lot of space). In addition, the wiring that comes with the kit does not have a thermostat. So you'll need to buy another 'kit' to cover this, which will most likely cover what they're sending (wire and relays). So it's either overkill or not enough (unless you have a sensor that can turn it on). Time will tell if it stays cool, I haven't ridden it much yet. However, it should not be listed as a 'fit' Wrangler from 2004. Too much space left…

Noisy but works well for the fans

Installed this fan on a 1966 Mustang 302 based on reviews. This fan hardly fits in a stock 3 row cooler, don't try to make it bigger or you'll need a smaller fan, blows hard, keeps the temp at 185. The downside is it's very noisy, you can don't hear it while driving. , but at the bus stop it sounds like the ambulance is 2 blocks away. Is always. I gave 4 stars because it does exactly what it's supposed to do, but it's just really noisy. Also stay away from the 165-190 temp gauge, the first one…

Pros
  • Everything is great!

Inaccurate description

I am not sure if this is Derale's fault and the information they provide to Revain or Revain provides inaccurate product information but the picture and product description shows and states that the relay is switched on. When the package arrived it was clearly stated on the packaging that the relay was sold separately. I contacted Revain and informed them of the issue. They told me it was most likely a packaging issue and they would send a second one which should include ALL the parts. I told…

Does exactly what it should.

I bought a 16926 Derale fan for a 1966 Mustang (with 302 V-8) because it fits the radiator perfectly. It's rated at 2200 cfm and cools well in traffic. I liked it so much I bought another one for my 1964 1/2 Mustang. Pros: - Easy to follow instructions - Easy to install - Works as intended - Multiple mounting points are cast in Cons: - Somewhat noisy; 2200 cfm is LOTS of air! Create your own mounting brackets for the best look - all terminals are crimped; You should really solder all…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Good fan, LOUD: Spare parts

The fan definitely does its job. At idle, I could expect my 1966 Mustang 289 (60-odd, with a soft cam and aluminum heads) to overheat, usually in traffic or traffic. The flex fan just wasn't pulling enough air at idle. 3 row aluminum radiator so I decided the only way out was an electric fan. If this turns on at idle, the temperature will only drop. Moves a ton of air. I was a bit surprised when I felt a breeze blowing under the car to the rear. The fan shroud fits almost perfectly on this…

Pros

  • Crumpled
