This light took about half an hour to install. I have read some of the other reviews and I understand the difficulties you may be having. You need to connect the wires (3) with the nuts provided. It's helpful to have a ladder and a box or two to elevate the unit high enough while you attach the wires. A good quality lamp. The fixtures that came with the last few houses I lived in looked similar but were of slightly better quality. Every fixture of this type that I have worked with has been difficult to install due to the insulation covering the screw holes. This is not a criticism of this particular manufacturer, all lights of this style that I have found have the same problem. It just seems a little disappointing.
