So far so good. They click, crackle and pop. Probably dangerous in the wrong hands, but they're super cool in my homemade Halloween switch box. PS Do not use sensitive electronic devices nearby. Don't ask me how I know that.

These things pack a punch -2 stars for false advertising - they can never produce 400kW or even close. I would rate them at 20kV max, maybe a bit more if you stress them too much. It definitely felt like 20kV when I accidentally touched it. Not bad overall, but be aware that you won't really get close to 400kV, for that you'll need a much larger unit to accommodate the voltage multiplier.

I use them to charge turbocharged electric fly swatters. I cut the circuit board into the zapper's handle, leaving only the switch and soldering the module together with the switch.
