These shirts do NOT run small compared to Under Armor Heat Gear compression shirts. In fact, all three were the same, and the forearms were larger than the Under Armor sleeves. I don't know what the other reviewers were comparing to, but if you're familiar with Under Armor compression shirts, they were actually a bit larger. I only bought these for the UV protection as I work outside a lot. I don't really use them for "training", but my job is physically demanding, so I think I use them for that in a way too.
