This thing is a beast. Not only does it remove pesky contaminants from the metal surface, but it also removes the metal itself and anything else it encounters if you're not careful. 4 stars for durability is a guess, I haven't used it long enough. say for sure. I can't imagine what hard material this wire brush couldn't remove. You'll need a fairly powerful 7" or 9" grinder to use it as it's a monstrous tool for breaking knotted wire. It has a 5/8 11 thread and is suitable for all grinders and polishers. This is an upgrade from my previous 2 star rating to a 5 star rating. The update follows the first review. Quite expensive.
