Durable / Stands the test of time

Feels good in the hand, is heavy and looks good. nothing wobbles or rattles. the band itself is wider than my older one. I love this feature. The end of the strap can be hooked onto a nail/screw, a straight edge, or even a corner of the strap. The tailband wing is lowered and extended, which I also found very practical and convenient. The locking mechanism is strong and durable. Press firmly for a good lock. The reason for the 4 stars overall is that it does NOT have a momentary hold button. I…

Not for installers. Ideal for linear measurements

It breaks my heart to give Dewalt (my favourite) 3 stars but this tape has many flaws. The spring is so strong that it hurts a lot when you let go of it. The promotional length that could be used is not usable at all as when you reach it looks like a lightweight rod with a 30lb salmon on it. I bought it because I really wanted a top hook grip. End SUPER! For many things a plumber needs, it just doesn't fit. I didn't deduct any stars for that. That would be great tape for the frame, but another…

It costs extra money

I bought one and love it. In any case, the spring is too strong and breaks my finger. Under no circumstances should you let the ligaments jump at full speed, as they stretch. I bought it in January(?), used it daily for concrete form work with no downtime and it still works like a champ. Nobody abuses duct tape like an all-weather formwork carpenter, who's tossed it off a 30-foot wall onto a concrete pad more than once. And they call us mud carpenters because our sacks are always full of dirt…
