nice little knife - great price

I've been trying to match the Dexter Russell knife I have but this one is a bit small and the grip isn't that comfortable. But it's very sharp and does a good job and for the price you can't beat it.

Pros
  • Hand sharpened to the perfect edge
Cons
  • Negative impression

Amazingly good tool

I bought this small knife in addition to the large chef's knife. I read about it in an article by Mark Bittman in the New York Times. He wrote that for a small price you can buy a well-made knife that is sharp, easy to sharpen, and easy to clean. He was at his best with this knife. I have a lot of quality knives, but I tend to reach into my desk drawer for these.

Pros
  • Impenetrable blade seal for maximum hygiene and durability
Cons
  • Upgradable

Great knife, even better price

People who don't notice this knife because it's cheap are missing out. It's cheap, it's not cheap. I first bought them at a restaurant supply store on the recommendation of a friend's chef. They're just as good and sharp as any other knife, and if you get a good deal you can sometimes find them for $2 a piece. You'll never have enough paring knives, and at this price point, you can afford to have lots of them. at hand.

Pros
  • Patented high-carbon, high-alloy Dexsteel stainless steel for increased sharpness
Cons
  • New competitors have emerged
