Do you really KNOW when you're going to hit the rebar?

I used this drill bit to drill through a three row brick wall to install an antifreeze for a hose. It punched through and didn't rip out the brick like a solid carbide drill would otherwise. I also like the security the rebar drill provides when drilling through material with unknown rebar or duralumin. This is my move to Beats now and the price just makes sense.
