Like the 0.22 micron filters, these filters fit well together and don't leak at the seam like some others. They are good for filtering large particles and binders in projects that use tablets before final sterile filtration. Incidentally, trying to circumvent the 0.45 micron spacing only leads to frustration and the use of many 0.22 micron filters.

They were very easy to use and worked great. The main reason I chose them was because they are sterile. I've noticed that some of the other options for this type of product didn't have one, although they don't make it obvious, and I have a feeling you generally assume something like this would be sterile. I am so disappointed and upset with this company. There is definitely a quality problem. I have bought these filters from almost every Revain supplier. I have just opened the second pack of my 2 lot order from this company and 3 filters were completely clogged after only 1-2ml of media passed through them.
