Adjustable Diamond Plate Phone Mount for Motorcycles and Bicycles Review

I ordered this for my trainer because there was nothing but a handle so this beauty came up with my search and the reviews were ok as were the specs of this holder. I'm so happy and it's good that I can put it on other devices because there is an adjustment in the clamp.

Works, but is a bit annoying. The cocking/release lever doesn't release the clamp far enough for the jaws to slide over the bar I'm clamping on. This means that after I squeeze the lever to release the clamp, I have to turn it a couple of times to open the jaws wide enough.

For the price this phone holder is quite decent. I would like to give it 5 but I have to remove the stars because after 8 rides on my bike the silver part at the end of the clasp came loose. I'm not sure I want to use it after the locking nut fell off. Adding Loctite to the nut should fix the problem.

There were many negative reviews for this product and I didn't want to buy it. I wanted something for my bike and decided I'd give it a try for $10. I'm glad I did. I've had it on my bike for a few days now and it works well with my Samsung Galaxy S3 with Otterbox case. This bracket opens very wide. I don't think I would trust that on my Harley or any other bike. It was a great price and I am happy with the purchase.

I chose a low price so I have no regrets. However, I had to modify the clamp to attach it to the bike's handlebars. If I hadn't done that, it just wouldn't have fit in because it's not tight enough. And here is the plate. It is unlikely to protect itself to give you confidence that it will keep your electronic device of choice safe. Very neat! You will need pliers or something similar to ensure the mount is securely attached to the handlebars.
