does not engrave glass

Purchased to engrave and etch window glass. Setting pressure: approx. 1/8 of the spring deflection, i.e. very little pressure. The tip went about 5 minutes and stopped cutting, the description says "They are ideal for engraving various types of materials including brass, aluminium, glass." My tip went flat after a very short use. The "diamond" tip has completely disappeared. I don't know how long it will last in metal, all I know is that it won't cut even though the description says glass!

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

DO NOT use on glass!

So, I received this order, the main purpose of which was glass engraving. The description says "They are ideal for engraving various materials including brass, aluminium, glass." Install a drill bit in my X-Carve 1000mm and set it to the recommended settings I read on the forums have. . The manufacturer of this bit does not recommend setting the bit. Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

BUY THIS RACKET ONLY FOR SOFT MATERIALS!

I call these diamond engravers one of those "cool tools". and the potential to make some amazing prints. You can literally engrave on any material you can think of! Having tried this beat on several projects I would suggest spending the extra money and getting a better beat. They will last forever because the tip is literally a diamond and no matter how good this cutter is, it has some play and because of this some detail will be lost in what you are engraving. The achieved level of detail is…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide
