Description of digital caliper
An electronic digital caliper is used to measure various external and internal dimensions of parts, the depth of holes and the size of ledges and recesses. For ease of use, the device is equipped with a digital display. This allows you to take and view measurement results faster and more conveniently. This reduces the possibility of errors.
Description and principle of operation Use and adjust as a normal caliper. Before work, you must install the battery. Please note that a dead battery may cause fluctuating readings. The kit comes with an SR44/LR44 battery, but to avoid such problems it is better to use a new one.
The bar division price is 0.5 mm, the vernier division is 0.02 mm. Fixed with a screw. The working measuring area is made of carbon fiber. The active part of the internal device of the sensor on the scale has about 50 contacts, which are fed with an 8-phase rectangular signal. The signals return as a straight track to the sensor one at a time. For ease of understanding, not mechanical principles are used to measure dimensions, but an electronic caliper works on the same principle as an optical mouse, only along one axis. Therefore, strong electromagnetic pollution in the measurement area can knock the sensors.
Note! Like a conventional mechanical caliper, this digital caliper is designed for low-precision measurements only! The measurement accuracy of this device is 0.1 mm. It is no worse, but no better than a mechanical caliper. For high-precision critical measurements, professional laboratory-calibrated micrometers or calipers with a micrometer head should be used.
The device will perfectly replace the usual caliper in your garage, suitable for any homework. It is much more convenient to use it, especially for those who have lost their eyesight.
