I liked the look and quality and I didn't notice any smell either, but they were too big for a coupé. I wanted to return them and get a size smaller but it cost me an arm and a leg to get them back! I bought two gold chevrons and two gold honeycomb containers. Luckily, before I bought four, the reviewer before me said they came in individual packs, so I was willing to spend $55 + I bought them for our front door to hide my husband's casual shoes. 4 cubes bought. All turquoise but two are solid, one is striped and the last is chevron. However, the solid particles were dark turquoise and the striped particles were light turquoise. I really like these hard sided baskets. They're a bit pricey, but I've found that anything less expensive has the flexibility that you might as well keep things in a cloth bag. These containers (the turquoise one at least. I have no idea about the other colors) are very inconsistent in color for some reason.
