Instructions are clear, a lot of flossing. I took the opportunity to personalize the "metal plate" on the base. I finished the project with a red hanging ribbon and attached the decoration with sticky felt. Looks great and I have ordered other Christmas decorations from Dimensions. (As other reviewers have said, the needle broke. Couldn't even hold a stitch.)

To be honest I haven't finished it yet but it's a very high quality set. I normalized the floss to the first color or two and quickly found that this wasn't necessary. And with any luck, I'll finish it in time to give to someone next Christmas!

Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly to my problem with a broken needle. I opened another globe project to bring this needle to the store and found a good replacement. It's a size 26. I've found spare needles that are stronger but not as sharp, making it harder to "drown" the end threads, but at least I can finish the project without further delay. I bought several packs so I'm ready to go. All the best to everyone.
