These PHMB foam dressings are a good size to have on hand or in a First Aid kit. These can be used to cover anything from a cut or abrasion to a weeping wound. They can be used in a medical facility or on the home front. These are specifically targeted to cover and protect wounds while encouraging healing. Obviously, they are a one-time use bandage, but will need another secondary wrap to secure them. Each bandage has 0.5%(w/w) Polyhexamethylene Biguanide (PHMB) in it. On each bandage as well…

Other products needed.

These have no adhesion on them. They absorb but only about 70%. They give a nice cushion to the wound. A good price. Thanks for attention!

Great quality best in my review

I have scars on my back from my running bra. The sore spots hurt really bad when I sweat, so I was hoping to cover them with some type of cloth. People mentioned using duck tape, but I think before the sore spots heal, I'd better not use tape directly on them. I'm glad I found these foam pads. They feel super high quality and really soft. The thickness is perfect for covering wound. These have no built in adhesives and so you must cover with some other type of bandage to hold them in place. For…

Pros
  • User-friendly: The product is easy to use and can be applied quickly with minimal effort
Cons

Work well for a basic absorbent wound covering

These are a decently absorbent pad for covering a weeping wound, and absorb fairly well, holding a reasonable amount of exudate before leaking. They are not non-stick, and require a little care and saline solution to free them from the tender wound, nor do they contain silver or any other bacteria-inhibiting compound, but they are sterile, reasonably priced, and probably best used for daily bandage changes. As stated, they have no built in adhesive border and so must be covered with some other…

Pros
  • Wide size: The 4"x4" size is perfect for treating large wounds with ease
Cons
  • May not allow for proper ventilation of the wound site

Opened box. in my review

Box has been torn apart and opened. I am worried about it because the items should be intact and germ-free. I cannot ensure whether the items are safe to apply. Very unsatisfying.

Pros
  • Effective for various wounds
Cons
  • May not be suitable for people with certain medical conditions or allergies

Foam Pad - Not Adhesive

I guess I didn't pay enough attention to the product page, I thought these were bandages of sorts, but they aren't adhesive. The product is as described. A foam pad, mine measures 3.9in and is 0.19 inches thick. It's flexible and soft - just like a makeup sponge. One side has a waterproof barrier on it, which should work well if you seal/adhere the sides with tape.

Pros
  • Dressings
Cons
  • May not be appropriate for wounds with heavy bleeding
