Zero Signal Gain

I was really looking forward to these antennas. I did a baseline measurement on my 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks in a remote room that had a decent signal at 2.4 but was weak at 5. By swapping out the stock antennas on my Asus router, I was able to increase the signal strength by zero on both networks. Within 15 minutes of their arrival I had already packed them and am waiting for UPS to return. Very disappointed.

Impressive size disappointing functionality

My first impression was that the threads on the connector were not quite right and a little sloppy compared to the original antennas which I had previously removed and reinstalled. At first I thought it was the size/length of the antenna making it difficult to balance to screw it in straight but I'm not sure but I think extra care is needed to ensure that they don't cross over. a thread. Then I noticed that unless the antenna is set almost perfectly vertical, its own weight is enough to fall…

Great replacement. Adds reception strength, not internet speed.

First of all it does NOT increase internet speed. They increase reception throughout the house. Nowhere in the description of the item does it say it will speed up your internet. Don't think you can go any faster. I usually have 75% WiFi reception. Now 85%. 10% more is good. I won't lose it and I can move on. That's all he does. They are installed in my old Nighthawk router because some of the original antennas were broken. They are just a good substitute, but very long. More than three times…

Gain less than 4dBi in the 5GHz band. Not good at all.

I have 4 Ubiquiti UAP-AC-M Access Points interconnected in the 5GHz band (specifically channel 36, 80MHz bandwidth). Standard antennas have a gain of 3 dBi in the 2.4 GHz band and 4 dB in the 5 GHz band. Each access point has (2) dual band antennas. I ordered 2 packs which gave me 6 antennas. I completely disabled one of my access points and noted the connection speed in the Ubiquiti controller. I turned off the other 3 access points, replaced the default antennas with them, and turned them…

Good product, significantly increased signal

I have upgraded my TP-LINK N900 with these antennas and am very happy with the results. Since 5GHz signals are terribly prone to interference, I only missed out on 65Mbps by paying for 200. After installing these antennas I got a full signal as if the computer was right next to the router. For reference, factory antennas are only 2dB and these are 9dB. The only downside to this product that I would like to warn consumers about is that they are HUGE. The signal rods are about 14 inches long and…

Don't hold position

The signal is improving, but for a modern 3-antenna configuration, the center antenna must be vertical and the two outermost antennas must each be tilted outwards 45 degrees (90 degrees apart). This is next to impossible with this set as the weight of the antennas overcomes the friction in the swivel collars causing the antennas to tip over and fold down. Bad design or execution. And there's really no other option but to tie him up with a rope or something. Direct tightening of the clamps is…

  • Confident

Not that bad. My 2 good for computers and accessories

Not so bad. My 2.4GHz signal speed has increased quite a bit. I have found that my 5GHz signal is more affected by the instructions than standard antennas. Be aware that a 2.4GHz client placed too close to these antennas will reject part of your signal due to excessive power. No big deal to me. That's what the 5 GHz frequency is for. Also, as others have said, longer than expected. Seller can attach photos with something for scale. (say banana)

  • Good thing
