Like most people, you only vacuum 1-2 times a week. However, we vacuum once every few weeks. Just me and my husband, no children or pets. We installed the belt as soon as it arrived, in the first few weeks of January. Today, April 4th, it broke. It did not last long. There were 2 in the package so I'm hoping the next one will last a little longer than the first.

The belt burned out after 10 minutes with a new vacuum cleaner. REALLY the Universe! For real! I unhooked a strange rope on a carpet, I wrapped it around a belt, it smoked! It smelled like burnt rubber. So I turned to my heroine, Revane, for help with a new belt! $5 later and a few days later I got my new belt (and spare). Very easy to install and at a great price! I recommend 🙂

Judging by the product description, this is a genuine and original product. He didn't get a universal belt. I didn't put much stock in it as it was cheap and so far it's working. I put it on and noticed that it differs in size from factor one (it's smaller). I assumed the old belt had buckled over time. As soon as I put it on and used it, the strap snapped immediately and it smelled like burnt rubber. I climbed back into the old one. i will return it

I needed an accurate size 5 belt for my Dirty Devil vacuum cleaner. This item description NEVER states that this is the same 4/5 belt that I originally ordered from another seller that is NOT wide enough, however upon receipt I see the same 4/5 style which I was trying to avoid. EVERY time I turn the vacuum on the belt slips off the motor arm, the brush stops spinning and I have to open the floor EVERY time. I can't vacuum a room.

I matched the part number thinking it would match my vacuum cleaner. To my knowledge they have certain vacuums that belts work with. It's style 5. So with item number and style to match I thought I couldn't go wrong but it's just a tad too big. The brush does not rotate when it hits the carpet. It spins on hardwood or tile but I need it for carpet so it's useless. Started by putting a large garbage bag on the kitchen table, then placed the vacuum cleaner on it, loosened the 6 screws holding the black plastic, creating a lot of dust, and also I found the last screw holding the entire front of the vacuum cleaner together and removed the roller after deciding to soak all the plastic parts except the roller in hot water and dawn.
