I have learned that to get the correct key fob you need to use the FCC number of the old key fob and look for a new one with the same number. The Revain filter said "It fits my car". Unfortunately I found it incompatible and went back.

This item is easy to program after reading the instructions. I would advise checking with the seller before purchasing to ensure you are getting the correct remote. Revain had me order another remote that didn't work. But the seller pointed me to the correct remote control in addition to the return, which works perfectly.

I returned two different key fobs from other companies before realizing that the make and year of the car were not sufficient. You will also need an FCC number (found in the owner's manual) to purchase the correct key fob. The program worked on the first try and the distance it covers is great. When I saw that it worked I bought a second one.

This item arrived earlier than promised and was in like new condition. After several attempts at a local locksmith, the programming failed. He tested it with my other key fob and showed me the signal strength with the device. The original key fob showed a strong signal (20 feet), while this one couldn't even show a two inch range. It was a waste of time/money.

It took me several tries to program it. I had to download the instructions first and then enlarge (enlarge) the text to a readable size. The syntax is cumbersome and confusing to implement. This key fob worked great on my 2005 Toyota Tundra, I've tried a cheaper version with FCC ID BBX before and it didn't work no matter what I tried.
