It's quite good, best in padlocks and latches

Good news: It has stood, exposed to sun and rain, for about a year and is still like new. However, you must set a combination to unlock or lock them. This means you can't unlock it and spin combos or tell your courier, gardener, etc. to lock it behind them when they leave. Or you have to give them a combo to block them. Sigh.

Great product/customer service

These padlocks are the perfect size for my needs. Not only are they easy to use and fairly robust, but the company's fantastic customer service is great! I couldn't set the code correctly on one of the locks and got it mixed up. They immediately arranged for me to send it back and - VOILA! - the new one arrived before they even received my return. I am very impressed with this company.

When buying, do not forget to buy bolt cutters.

To reset the combination, unlock, press the latch and set a new combination. Great right?! NO NO NO NO. If at any point during use the latch is pressed and your hand is on the dial, CONGRATULATIONS! You have successfully and unintentionally changed the combination. Good luck guessing. Or, in my case, use bolt cutters. I bought 16 abstracts and after that one mistake I'm out of 15 1/2 paperweights.

Acceptable lock but maybe better brand

I use this lock on a bike cable. On the plus side it was fairly easy to set my own 4 digit code and the lock has quite a long shank. The downside is that it's a bit difficult to see the numbers; I would like a better contrast between the numbers and the dials. The lock is also a little temperamental to line up the numbers to open the lock. They don't snap securely into place, so you always have to fiddle around with the dials to get them all lined up exactly. I would like to spend a little more

STOP EMAILING ME TO DELETE THIS REVIEW! Currently stuck on the patio because the lock broke :(

It was great at first. The combo was easy to set up and it did its job of locking the gate in front of our house. But about 6 weeks later the combination changed by 1 digit (which we luckily found out!), and a week later it changed again. Now the lock won't close or reset. No combinations or permutations of our original combined work. We have haven't changed it fast enough and it's totally stuck. It won't open at all and our patio door is broken. Find metal cutters now. Do not recommend this…

Great for Lockers - Combination Padlocks

When it came to changing the code when it came out it was very easy. I just followed the instructions that came with it. Setting up my code was very easy and I had no problem unlocking it. When it comes to using this on my locker at work, my work lockers have a standard hole that fits this lock easily. The latch is a bit long, but despite the length, it easily fits in my locker.
