I don't think much needs to be said if your TV or monitor has an HDMI connection and your graphics card has a DisplayPort connection, this element will make them work together. Plug in and done. I upgraded my graphics card to relieve CPU and RAM without realizing that HDMI is no longer state of the art. I use three monitors for music and photo production (the last one is the bottleneck). This adapter did it.

I am posting this information because I searched for it before making the purchase. I didn't get any clear feedback from anyone. I dared to try it on my device and it works great. Great product but note that Displayport/HDMI adapters only work one way. The adapter you see on this page is Displayport TO HDMI. If you connect your HDMI PC to it and connect it to a DP-In monitor, it won't work. There are technical reasons why this is the case, but if you are fully interested you can search google and visit the technical site. I bought it in March 2020. It worked great for a while, but a year later it died and stopped working. My graphics cards (EVGA 1080Ti and now EVGA 2080Ti) only have one HDMI output and 3 DP outputs. Since my TV and soundbar only connect via HDMI, I needed an adapter.
