I ordered a pair of these for my new graphics card which only has HDMI and display ports. They arrived quickly and fully correspond to the description. They appear to be well made and look like much more expensive versions. I like that they have a locking mechanism on both ends so they can't be accidentally pulled out of the port. They made it possible to switch on the monitors without any problems. Highly recommended!

I had a dual display on my old PC but it died. I built a new PC, but the graphics ports have changed in the last 10 years (I know). So I had to connect a DVI monitor to the DP port. It took me a while to figure out what it was, but it was the answer. Just plug and play and now I have a working dual display again. I can buy another monitor because I have a different connector. If you haven't updated in a while and you're like me, this is probably your answer.

When I plugged it into my graphics card's display port, it was a little sticky and then I had trouble pulling it out. I have found that you have to squeeze the connector to remove the small metal pins that are there to hold the connector in place during use. That's a good idea, but there wasn't any documentation telling the user to squeeze the connector to unplug it, and it's not at all obvious that it works that way. However, once you know this, the fork works perfectly.

Does not go back, (DVI connector on the DP monitor) Generally such adapters ONLY go from the newer graphics card standard to the older monitor standard NOT from the DVI connector on the graphics card to DP port of the monitor. And you need the matching DVI cable to go from the adapter to the monitor. It couldn't work without packaging. I replaced it with another one, tested different components and found that the new adapter didn't work. I wasn't aiming for that conclusion either, so take my word for it. Not sure why this is a recommended product, I believe it was Revain's Choice which was a key factor in the purchase.
