Great drone and great price

I was looking for an inexpensive drone (around $100) and a friend said it won't have GPS and I won't be happy with it. He recommended the DJI Mavic Mini and I'm glad he did. Was packed in a box like new. Upon inspection, everything was in its original form. Instructions and other things in the box seem to be missing. Searched YouTube for videos that helped explain the controller, in-app settings, etc. It's been a hit so far and at less than 250 grams it didn't need to be registered!

I can't fly it with one foot as the software disables all flights as I live near the airport.

I can't lift it half a meter off the ground in my garage because the software disables all flights as I live near the airport. i give it back It should be in the product description so people know. Don't buy a Ji if you live near the airport. We wanted to take photos and videos at our camp and we can't even fly past a leg. Buy another brand that doesn't automatically disable flight based on where you live.

DJI Fly software questionable

Malwarebytes has warned that the DJI Fly app contains "malicious links". Not potentially malicious, just malicious. It's also a bit suspicious that you have to install directly from the DJI website and not from the Google Play Store. Apps in the Google Play Store are checked for security issues before they are released. am i a little paranoid? No, I'm very paranoid about any software made in China. It's a shame to return it but I'm addicted to this phone and can't afford to be hacked. Too much…

I don't have time to address this this morning. The instructions in the conversion kit I received were of no help. Something like drawings from IKEA. But forget it. You know how to find things out and after a while I got everything working. I don't know how to do all those silly doodles he can but I'll find out. Great drone with buggy software and very poor battery life.

The controls and the physical side of this device are fantastic. It's easy to fly, flies well in less than ideal weather, and has incredibly precise maneuvering. It even handles light collisions (tree leaves) with ease. The controller works well with my galaxy s10e and you can quickly learn how to navigate most areas. The main disadvantages of the device are battery life and poorly designed/optimized software. The battery is a technological limitation that designers probably couldn't change…
