Great product, minor improvements

This insert was just what we needed! Our 2007 Hyundai Elantra mother car needed an update and this allowed us to get a touchscreen stereo! The black trim wasn't the same color as our charcoal/silver dash, but it looked nice. Black goes with everything anyway. It came with all the advertised parts. We had to shave off the part of the insert where the alarm button is because it was too small. Overall we are happy with this product!

Pros
  • nice item
Cons
  • good but not great

Fits but could fit better

Dashboard kit perfect for vents, various displays and dashboards. Most looks the same as the original. The only two complaints were the fit of the kill switch and the fit on the front of the stereo. The edges of the alarm switch had to be sawn to fit the hole in the bezel. The front of the stereo system, including the frame, is actually much smaller than the opening in the front panel, so you can see the gap all around. I wish it was closer, but it's not bad.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Update availability

Good enough. It could be better.

Pretty decent faceplate. I used it to install the touchscreen on my wife's 2008 Elantra. Save your clips from the maker first as you will need them for them. Second, I don't really like the way the side mounts for the device connect to the front panel. Not as strong as I was hoping, but when the main unit is in, it pushes things in where they need to be. Third, loosely fasten the AC vents and make sure they are well aligned before tightening. I wanted to reinstall the whole thing and the clip…

Pros
  • Quality construction

  • Blank

Perfect, but not perfect either.

Worked fairly well on a 2008 Hyundai Elantra. Just a few questions and that's why I'm giving it three stars. 1: The hardware (screws) was missing so I had to find something of my own to work with. 2: The side panels intended for mounting the stereo are a bit cheap and flimsy and were difficult to attach as they weren't covered screw holes. They are open and the panels kept slipping out of the screw I put in. finally super glued, but it could all be due to the missing hardware. Perhaps the…

Best option for installing a 2 DIN radio in your Elantra

If you are replacing your 2007-2010 Hyundai Elantra Head Unit with a 2DIN Head Unit and don't want to cut out the factory radio bezel from the car, this is your best choice. I wanted to upgrade to an Android Auto/Apple Car gaming device with all the new tech, but I want to keep the OEM look and feel with a completely clean install. The best option I've found is this one. The equipment is 97% ex works, there are only negative differences that are not noticeable to the untrained eye. For example,
