Excellent adapter kit

The last time I looked for an NVMe adapter kit, the technology was so new that there were only large scale solutions on the market. A recent search on Revain brought this up and I love it. It comes with everything you need, whether you need to connect it to your source via USB-C or USB-B (both cables are included). They even add a small screwdriver so you can trim the ends - it's a complete fix. All you need is your NVMe drive.

Pros
  • Acceptable
Cons
  • Minor issues

Small and sexy. but it is not possible to cool the SSD properly. :(

The case is surprisingly small, but that's the problem. Modern high-end SSDs must have a heatsink to dissipate heat from the SSD chips. But the thermal mix is sticky , and while they ensure a good transfer connection, DO NOT put it on an SSD and then stick a sticky surface in a super tight case.I reversed that option in favor of a slightly larger case with a separate removable plate to ensure proper to allow heat dissipation.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Neutral

Excellent M.2 NVME SSD Enclosure

This thin metal enclosure encloses your M.2 NVME SSD and allows you to connect it to a USB 3.1 port via a USB Type-C connector. You can easily switch to USB-A if you want. The case is solid and the logic board does what it should. A mounting screw easily holds the drive in place. The small end screws in the case (did I mention they're tiny?) can be a little tricky to put back on, so be careful not to pry them off. I am very happy with this price. Highly recommended.

Does what it should.

I trust that with my 970 evo and haven't been disappointed yet. It's a fairly stiff chassis, but small enough that the size helps with rigidity. Heat from the SSD (you can heat coffee on this thing), but I'm afraid that also turns the case into an oven. I'm not sure if there is a solution to this problem, so I just leave the ends and flip it up; hence convection can help with cooling. If it were a permanent case I'd still consider an expensive NVMe, but for now it does what I need.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Out of fashion

Mediocre, I'd look elsewhere

Good price for this, but the design doesn't really work for an NVME drive (I have SATA drives in similar cases and they're fine). Others have mentioned that it gets very hot when winding. Then either go out or go out. I have found that I have better luck with a case that is slightly larger and has more storage. One oddity about the one I received: it came with two cables (USB-C to USB-C and USB-A). to USB-C). The USB-C to USB-C cable is fast (nearly 500Mbps with BlackMagic on my MacBook), but…

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Mine is VERY slow, why?

UPDATE 10/27/19: The seller sent me a new unit and it works fine. The data transfer rate to my SSD is now 929 MB/s. I haven't had a chance to heat it up to test it yet. ------ I tried this case with two different NVMe SSD devices and connected it to three different Windows 10 PCs and two Macbook Pros. In all cases it is mounted normally. The problem is SPEED. This case offers a read/write speed of only 40-50MB/s. This is a universal performance barrier, regardless of SSD, host computer or OS…

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Quality product as usual

I've been using the M.2 SSD housing from DMLIANKE for a long time and haven't had any problems so far. I chose the NVME case as I needed the Samsung 970 Evo anyway. Testing via a Thunderbolt port (Late 2018 HP Specter x360 13.3-inch (first Gemcut)) yielded around 1-1.1GB reads and writes in CrystalDiskMark for sequential reads. While the case doesn't push the NVME drive to the max, it's decent enough for a portable solution. The build quality is decent and I really like the shape of the case…

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad
