Love the dominoes themselves. Big, burly, heavy spinners are completely unremarkable. Another thing is what box they are in: one end of the box is only taped at one seam, at the bottom. This box will break in no time. I'm having trouble finding a suitable aftermarket box for my dominoes.

They are big, heavy in the hand and smooth on the playing surface. My South American born husband remembers having a similar setup as a kid and looking for a professional setup across two continents and the Caribbean. It was the only thing he liked, and it was very cheap compared to the expensive fashion boxes sold in specialty stores. I was lucky to find her. Too bad he saw her before his birthday and ruined the surprise.

The tiles are really amazing. Well made, durable, good visibility, good weight. The wooden box is scrap, order gorilla glue to fix it or stow it in a zipper. Mine came in pieces, was well packaged and should have arrived safely. A little glue and a couple of zip ties made for a smooth repair. These are very heavy dominoes that my kids use to build houses and mazes which they then topple over. The easier ones from the other sets fall before you can build a house or construct an elaborate maze that can be knocked over. However, they are very durable and of high quality. We built a house with 8 levels! They also have a very good spinner. I have several of these sets and so far not a single spinner has broken. This is a jumbo domino as described but it is not a jumbo tournament domino. Something like that does not exist. Actual tournament sizes are a full 1/2" thick, while jumbos are just over 3/8" thick. Unfortunately, finding tournament-sized dominoes is very difficult. These jumbo dominoes are ok and as close as you can get to the elusive tournament size. They are better than I expected. They're wide enough to be easily placed without a stand and heavy enough to feel solid when gaming. The finish is smooth and glossy and the dots are deep and beautifully filled with black color. Brass spinners are fairly small and unobtrusive, making them easy to pack and still work great. This set is very comfortable to the touch and an amazing size! I read the reviews before purchasing and was concerned as many of the reviews mentioned that they arrived with broken packaging. I ordered anyway, hoping for better luck. My box arrived safe and sound, no problems. HOWEVER, the dominoes were missing! There was a duplicate 2/2 and no 3/4.
