Dorman 800-409 HVAC Heater Hose Connector - Ideal for Compatible Models Review

I replaced this due to a bad connector and leak. Everything went smoothly and now works great 👍🏽. I received a damaged 1 on my first order and Revain sent me a replacement and it worked great. Great piece and service 👍🏽

This part is perfect for my 99 gmc Sierra 5.3l. I bought two of these to replace broken hoses on the heater core. This is the same item for both sides. I know the originals were a different color, but that doesn't matter. Both sides are interchangeable.

This product is terrible especially if you are not a fan of handmade, firstly this part is far to the fire wall and almost no clearance By the way I pulled out my old part, I have used my heat knife, cut an ounce on both sides and let it cool for a few minutes, the old part will snap right away, be sure to clean and add a small amount of lube before installing the new part, as easy as peeling a pear.

Perfect for replacing the heat hose fittings on my 1999 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS 4x4. You will also need to purchase a Lisle 39400 elbow disconnect tool kit (use green plastic grommet) and heater hose quick disconnect tool (5/8" U end, long metal rod) to disconnect the old heater hose connector. He freezes. You have to pull/tear on the old connector really hard until it pops out. This new heater hose connector then slides back on very easily.

2002 Chevy Silverado Owner. For some reason it didn't snap like it was too big. Should it be a quick fix? There's nothing fast about that. My opinion is that it is not really necessary. Put on the hose and fasten it with a clamp. In this case at least, if that clamp comes loose and falls down, it just takes a cross to reattach it. Stranded me when I couldn't take it off. I believe the purpose of this connector was not for our benefit but for the assembly line.

Says it doesn't fit my 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD LS with 6.0 petrol engine. I bought 2, notwithstanding the other comments here, and both fit the inner/outer heater hose quick connect line that comes out of the firewall. It may not look like it will last long, but that's because the o-ring is new. Okay, that could be a problem be. I ordered this circuit breaker but it doesn't work properly. already. The unlocking tool has an angled handle and the round part is in two parts. The reason this worked well for me was so I could insert one side of the tool into the back of the "quick coupler". Once I had one side good I worked on the other side and it was easy to glue. I hate the fact that GM went for it, plastic has no place in the cooling system. But like them I replaced mine as the truck is not even 10 years old. The old ones were pretty brittle so it's about time. You can replace both the white and black QD with this one but one hose will be a bit big just use the right screw hose clamp and you'll be fine, worked for me. Make sure you cut the plastic clip off the black QD. Do not cut the hose unless you are replacing it. It's not long enough to connect to
