Easy replacement 2011 Yukon

This was an exact replacement for the heater plug in a 2011 GMC Yukon that my friends had, after they broke the old one it turned up immediately.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Expensive

Make sure you pick the right part

fits like a glove and doesn't leak when installed. it can be used on both the inlet and outlet of the radiator, it's a little longer in the middle but it didn't matter when I installed it.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons

Perfect fit - just do it!

Both sides replaced - white and black according to the "Hey I'm here" theory. White comes with o-rings, black does not. I went to buy o-rings otherwise the black one didn't go on!?!?!?! After a day of disappointment I installed it with no o-rings - bingo, everything works fine. Do not exaggerate.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Protection

Exactly what I needed at a great price

I had a small leak in the o-ring which required this part to be replaced. The worst problem we had installing it was removing the original part! Just a tip, if you break the original's white plugs, it will be much easier to detach! Inserting a new one was easy - just 3 clicks!

Bug for a week

Exact fit. I was very satisfied in the first week. However, when I got home today, I smelled antifreeze and started looking for a leak. I found this component to be a point of failure after replacing all of the coolant lines on my truck. I will switch to factory. Lots of happy people but apparently I lost the dice roll this time. Save no less than $5.

Pros
  • Permanent test results
Cons
  • Upgradable

Fixed coolant leak!

I figured it needed a special tool to remove them, just pinch and push with pliers, then pull in one motion and you're done. I didn't pay attention to which ones I need, there is a black and white version. White has a 90 degree orientation and black has a slight angle. I replaced the white with this black and had to rotate the aluminum line a bit to make it fit, but it seems ok.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Quality

Fits snugly on 2005 Suburban Z71

The part is a quality replacement for the original GM part PN 15055342. This crappy GM design will eventually cause these parts to fail, fortunately they are fairly easy to replace obtain and replace with the correct tools to quickly disconnect the heater line. If a quick release is not available, you can cut off a piece and simply attach a new piece. Be sure to lubricate the o-rings on the new part before installing it.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • Nothing Here

This is a common problem on GM trucks

I noticed my wife's Tahoe was leaking some coolant near the firewall. Did some research and quickly found that it was this part. Once I had the right quick release tool, swapping out was a breeze. He's now on a Tahoe and has been driving daily for over a year with no problems. Save some money and replace it yourself. Just make sure you have a quick release tool. Much cheaper to buy a tool ($15) than to have the store fix it.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Fits 2004 Suburban Z71

Fits 2004 Suburban Z71. I replaced it pre-emptively when I changed the heater hoses, thinking the stock unit was borrowed by 190,000 miles. I was right as I practically got my hands on the bearing block removing the old heater hoses. This is an easily replaceable part that will prevent you from getting stuck on the side of the road. I don't quite understand why this heater hose connector has an air filter.

Pros
  • Economic solution - offers OE quality at a competitive price
Cons
  • I'll write later
