Perfect 2006 Dodge Dakota

Works great on my Dakota. If you have an overheating problem afterwards, you probably haven't deflated your system. Don't work on vehicles if you don't know how.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Damaged

Including thermostat and housing.

Good price for what you get. I asked my mechanic to install it for me and it was a breeze. New radiator, hoses and thermostat and the car ran fine again.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Bad thinking

Don't buy at any price!

Thermostat won't open after installing it, I braked on the highway and overheated. Now I have to tow my car and put the old one back in. Accommodation is good, t. I'm not the first to have this problem! Stay away from this thermostat!

Pros
  • Solid finish
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Better than OEM for replacement parts

Perfect fit and better than an OEM replacement used less than a year. The truck cools great and doesn't leak like the one that broke off. The flange has warped. Time will tell if this will do the same but also replace the water pump with a metal impeller version.

Pros
  • Sample for one year
Cons
  • I don't remember

T-Stat works great with thermostat housings

Testing T-Stat in a pot of water on the stovetop over low heat with an immersed thermometer. Begins to open at 195° and fully opens at 205°. Durable silicone O-ring integrated into the T-Stat. Make sure it is fully seated in the case when installing. T-Stat and O-ring are keyed for proper alignment. You have to be burgundy to ruin everything. Screaming deal.

Pros
  • Pretty Packaging
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging

Fits perfectly, problem fixed, great price.

Had a leak where the hose connected to the thermostat housing. At first I thought it was the hose, but after replacing the hose it's still flowing. Replacing the thermostat housing with this fixed the leak and all pressure tests went fine. Reports of a poor quality thermostat bothered me, but I used the thermostat anyway. I'm happy to report that it works as intended. Sometimes, reading negative reviews, you need to remember that not everyone knows what they are doing when repairing something…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Low repairability

Fits my 2004 WJ 4.7 - Thermostat housing

Fits my 2004 WJ 4.7 no problem no leaks. Pay special attention to the cutout in the housing, which is designed to align with the pressure relief. The gasket and housing are keyed to align properly, but I had to rotate the keyed gasket on the thermostat myself to get it aligned. When the previous owner installed the one I replaced, the 180 degree alignment was incomplete and the pressure relief valve was closed and they cut a key from the gasket to fit it. Given some bad reviews about the…
