Does not fit Spare parts

Wrong part. Doesn't fit and I checked 3 times to make sure I'm not going crazy. Still doesn't fit. Although it appears to be of good quality

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good

Perfect replacement

Well made. The perfect replacement. The exchange took about 2 hours. But there were other parts that needed to be removed to get to this part, which took some time. not a bad thing

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Requires outlet

So far so good, time will tell durability

Thought it was an overheating issue, turned out to be an underheating issue. I ran 185-195 when he should have run 210-235. After replacement, it actually reaches normal operating temperature and stays there.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Fits

Remember this goes behind the generator.

215F opens. He brought the heater back to life. It used to be cold-warm, never hot. Now the heater works perfectly! Once the negative battery cable is disconnected, pull on the factory alternator top bracket and remove the alternator. Install the new GM Orange DexCool. Do not use universal or green coolant! Good idea to get a new hat too.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Nothing here

Junk from China: Thermostat housing

Installed on a 2003 Trailblazer, never worked! The thermostat has not opened, the coolant level is normal. The engine tried to warm up, I had to turn it off, the temperature rose to 230+. Mechanical felt tubes, the top tube will burn your hand. The hose from the thermostat section was slightly warm. The mechanic said the thermostat was faulty. So, another $225 down the drain. So I bought AC Delco. So far perfect. Don't waste your money on this, it's a POS.

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not sure if I received a defective item or not?

I'm not entirely sure yet because the same p0128 code problem I had before the install reappeared afterwards. So now I'm going through the process to find out why the code reappeared. IAT, temp sensor replaced, coolant level is full and my aftermarket electric fan is working fine. Tomorrow I will digitally measure the coolant temperature throughout the system and compare it to real time torque scan PID sensors to determine if the thermostat is bad. I don't want to replace the thermostat AGAIN…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options

Perfect fit and worth it

Installed in 2003 Trailblazer with I6 - Fit 2003-2009 Fan clutch, pump and thermostat were changed at the same time. I recommend this for our engines. The fan clutch was stuck, causing the water pump to wear out. The thermostats in these engines are known to be junk. A stuck thermostat or a failed water pump can cause the engine to burn out. Mine is stuck open. If anything, a stuck fan cam caused a water pump shaft warning. The lack of a fan and cover made access to the generator easier…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember
