I bought this product to remove chlorine/chloramine from a cold kitchen faucet. According to Doulton's website, this filter was 97-99% effective at removing chlorine/chloramine. I didn't check the before/after grade, but I noticed less chlorine smell and taste. The ceramic filter is convenient in that changing the filter too often can be problematic, and the ability to clean the filter slightly increases the interval. In general, I am satisfied with both the quality and the result.
