Due to the Spanish tip, I can easily get under my nose to keep the thin mustache of a linear beard. I'm not saying that a beginner can't use this razor, but it's intended for intermediate users like me. I have shaved with a straight razor for many years. This is a warning: this is the Cadillac of the straight. I love this shaver. Stroke makes it super sharp. Steel and gold combined with ebony scales and craftsmanship make it exactly how I expected it to be: superb.

In general, the razor is not bad. What I like best is the almost mirror-smooth ebony handle. It's sharp for shaving and holds up well, after use I just drag it over my skin ready to shave.
