🔒 DS 50015 Woven Strapping by Dr Shrink Review

This harness is a versatile product. First started at 25 years for boat packing. Has evolved into something in my kit at all times. The many strands of this harness will lift/haul thousands of #s. Accommodates many types of knots without slippage and is easy to untie in most cases. Only unraveled about an inch after an unburned cut. Outdoor UV good to excellent, outperforms good tarps by 4 to 1. Used many times.

This was exactly what I was looking for to secure the tarp I have over a reusable metal tubular frame for a sailboat for winter storage. The material is very strong and does not stretch like other fishing lines. It appears to be identical to the original spool I received from the company I bought the case from, which was significantly more expensive than this spool. Got the package very quickly too.

Very strong strapping. I chose to use 1/2" tape instead of 3/4". There are no problems with stretching, it is easy to tie. Make sure you cut off the ends so they don't catch fire :-). I've noticed that the tape's melting temperature appears to be lower, or at least very close, to the packaging shrink temperature. Keep the heat moving and avoid overheating the harness as much as possible.
