Variable pitch teeth allow for cutting thru any wood, metal or plastic. Can be used in a wide variety of applications. Supports heavy duty cutting with its rugged constitution, which is constructed on tough metal. It needs just one pass to cut through studs. It cuts faster, smoother without as much vibration as the others due to its variable pitch teeth.
Punched through 1/2 inch thick cement board, I had enough sharpness to pierce OSB with difficulty. Maybe a hole saw only lasts better and longer on wood. But I have the hole drill I needed. Burned my way through 1/8" OSB.
I was looking for a 3" deep hole saw with a 6" cut. I ordered this based on what I saw in the photo, although I couldn't find any depth details. Obviously I should have looked more closely for my answer. When the product arrived I had to send it back as it was only about 2cm deep. At this point, I don't know if they're doing anything deeper.
Allows you to quickly cut 6" holes in drywall and plywood. I used this saw to install a through fan in our old bathroom. Drilling holes was the quickest part of the job. If I didn't have this tool I would probably still be working on installing the fan. Just make sure you have a good variable speed drill bit and a good mandrel.
