I'm building a short wall of railroad ties. The ground I build on is solid rock. After drilling the sleepers with a wood drill bit, I used it to make a 1/2" diameter hole in the rock for the rebar. It mostly works, but the chuck on my hammer drill broke the end of the drill bit. I used it to drill about 30 holes from 6" to 16" deep.
