The feed is not smooth

I ordered 4 boxes of this cable to add to the one I have on hand to mount the camera. After hauling the attic on my own, I expected a smooth supply from these boxes and was a bit disappointed. Two boxes got tangled in the box and I had to climb out of the attic several times to untangle the cord. The only solution was to haul the cable to the ground and hope it didn't get tangled in the landscape. Other boxes, as well as an older box of the same brand, feed perfectly right out of the box. Complete garbage - not worth it.

So I got this and ran it through my entire project. First, orange isn't even orange, it's RED. The cable was shorted in several places, and even in some places the cable was OPEN, broken somewhere in the middle. It was a waste of money and time. I had to buy a new roll, a different brand, and run everything again. At least I could use this junk as pull wire. AVOID THIS CABLE AT ALL COSTS>

Useless Ethernet Cables

I bought this cable and it has been a nightmare for me and my customers. I have successfully made several patch cords but always lose a few RJ-45 connectors as they are never properly tested the first time. The last couple of times I've had to run over 5m of cable I've NEVER been able to get the cable to ring properly on the 568B pinout and I've been making cables for over 20 years so experience isn't an issue. These cables have defective holes all over the spool. Not worth the time, money or…

This cable is complete junk

I spent most of the day in my attic running 12 drops all over the house. I used a cable tester, only 9 out of 12 runs went well. Those who passed only connect on 100M. I made a 10ft ethernet cable which also passed the tester and also only connects 100m. It's garbage. I've connected data centers before and haven't had any issues. You'll have to restart all your drops, throwing away extra cash in the process. Stay away from this terrible product.

  • Very impressive

I have been working with CAT5e cables for many years.

I have been working with CAT5e cables for many years. I never had a problem until I tried Dripstone. I've already remodeled the office twice because the cable stopped working. Communication error between printer and computer, internet problems, etc. Now I have to reconnect it.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Hard to say

No problem. good cable

I bought the box to try it despite some reviews. I had no problems with that. I find it as flexible as solid copper wire and my box is not fragile like some other reviewers have said. None of my runs exceeded 150 feet, but I have no packet loss at all. I can't say how this cable will perform on 300ft runs, but it has worked great in my home. (By the way, I'm using it for an IP camera system with POE cameras.)

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Useless features

Pay more and get better stuff.

I don't like writing bad reviews but I bought 3 packs of this cable and it was a big mistake. The wire got tangled in the box at times, had a TON of twists and turns that made me nervous just looking at them. After 12 runs I tested and one run failed (open) and had to be pulled and restarted. I've made many network connections and this was the first time the startup failed, so it wasn't lack of experience. For now I'll pay extra and stick with the cable I'm used to. The remaining wire I had…

This cable is terrible

I regret buying this cable. Had to spend a few extra bucks to upgrade all the copper wiring. I had so many problems with this cable that I threw it away after only using about 20% of the box. First, it comes unassembled from the packaging. Second, the wires in the cable are thin and delicate. So if you plan to run this cable through walls, any small snag can damage the cable. Finally, the cables inside are so thin that I often had to crimp the connector, and still it all depends on how the wind

Cheap cable but may be worth it

I needed to run some new ethernet wiring throughout my house and decided to buy a large cable from Revain for a change. I stumbled across this shockingly cheap cable and decided to dice it. Most of the complaints were about issues I've had with more than a few brands of cheap cables, but I've found that most of them can be safely circumvented. In case of tangles and kinks, just keep the box with the pull hole facing up and don't move so fast; This usually prevents cheaper cables from behaving…

Pros
  • Meets or exceeds category 5e requirements
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other options
