They are too thin for me on pins and pin cushions

I assume these interlinings are for sheer fabrics as they are very thin and not suitable for seams on sweatshirts and jeans, at least for me. After bending some pins to get them through my jeans, I realized they weren't the right fit for the job.

Pros
  • Sewing
Cons
  • So far so good

Sturdy Sewing Needles

I prefer clips, but sometimes just pins work. They're very strong and heavy and are great for thicker items. I use them to make bags and pouches and they work usually through many layers without bending (although I've bent a few.) These are the only pins I use for heavy projects where clips aren't an option.

Pros
  • This package contains 175 carats. Quilter Pins, 1-3/4"
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for quilt projects. No heavy upholstery projects.

What I liked: the length. What I didn't like: too thin. However, I did not consider them for quilting. I needed a stronger needle for my upholstery project. They worked on keeping the zipper in place by attaching it to the pillow bag I designed for my ottoman. BE VERY CAREFUL, they have sharp ends.

Pros
  • Ideal for basting quilt layers
Cons
  • Off fashion

Dritz Quilter's Pins, 1-3/4 "

I think it's in the They Don't Make It The Same Category forever, just not the same as in past decades. I received this set of pins based on my past experience with the brand and product. I've used the same set of Dritz quilting needles for 20 years, but there came a point where I just needed more. Compared to My old Dritz pins are fragile and too easy to bend. You need strong pins to get them through layers of fabric. After 3 days I had already lost the ball on a cone, which had happened only…

Pros
  • Packaged in a reusable plastic storage box
Cons
  • I'll write back
