I agree with all the reviews that the frame falls apart just by looking at it. I did however wrap 1" duct tape around each end of the pipes that went into the joints and it worked great! It no longer falls apart if I gently move it and still comes apart easily. For some ends one wrap was sufficient, others required 2-3. Hope this helps!

I like this frame because it fits my space and it's easy to use. BUT it is not sustainable. The legs and crosspiece diverge all the time. We finally solved this problem with a strap around the whole thing. This is my second and both made it. I had to make compromises as most quilt frames are too big for our living room (we didn't have space to live). Purchase an adjustable strap at the automotive department. Believe me.

This quilt frame is perfect for my needs. The frame is very easy to assemble, but also very easy to disassemble. In the end I glued some of the bottom and top pieces together with PVC glue to stabilize them. Gluing the pieces together makes it much sturdier, but makes it impossible to take apart and store easily. I made sure to glue the pieces together so the frame breaks down into small flat pieces so I can slide it under the bed when not in use. Overall I would rate this 3 out of 5 stars…

This frame is well designed but too easy to fall apart if the tube ends are not matched to the receiving corner pieces. To easily do this without gluing anything, simply wrap the very ends of the tubes with 1 (try 1 layer first) or 2 layers of regular Scotch Magic Tape (or other thin tape) and make sure that you add enough thickness to make the tubes held tight when fully inserted. This should make them detachable with plenty of twist and pull, but greatly increases the strength and stability…

This is the best present I have ever received. My 83 year old grandmother loves to sew. She has large frames that she usually uses, but finds it difficult to adjust them herself. She also went into the winter and couldn't take her large frames with her. They were perfect, they fold easily into a small rectangular box and are easy to assemble.
