Perfect pins for hand piecing quilt blocks

Hard to find this item. So glad you have it. These pins are perfect for hand piecing quilt blocks. The length is perfect for this application. Others are too long or too short.

Did not do the job well

Although Dritz has a good name, I was disappointed in the performance of these ball point pins. They were too sharp and difficult to place in my cotton knit fabric. When I moved the fabric with the pins attached they often fell out. They did not seem to be sturdy or ballpoint at all. I will buy another brand for my next project.

Great pins in my review

I sew a lot of knits and these ball point pins work great, no snagging or pulling. Good company, quick response and shipping.

Pros
  • First time straight pin buyer. A little smaller than I expected. Loved the coolers and and box though.

I bought these because the description says they are good for medium weight knits. They are too thick and not sharp enough to get through the knit

These pins damage my fabric, too thick and blunt

I know that the idea behind a ballpoint pin is to be rounded to prevent snags in knits.Unfortunately, these pins damaged my finer knits more than my fine flat flower pins, which are not ballpoint.I think the shaft is just too thick for the fabrics I used (rayon spandex, cotton interlock, etc).

Not as described - my new review

I hunted for pins that stated they were stainless steel and found these. The description states stainless steel. I wanted to avoid nickel as they tend to rust when using them on wet fabric crafts. I received these to find they are NICKEL and no where on the packaging do the words stainless steel appear! Back to hunting. And lost money. Why lie about your product?

Little Pins for my opinion

I'm going to give this 4 stars because I should have read the description better. These are really little. The pins are not color-coded, making it difficult to differentiate between different types of fabric!

Ballpoint pins assist sewing with knits

They work very well. What amazed me was the increased ease in penetrating knit fabric using these ball point pins. The packaging is not reusable or eco-friendly.

Slide through my fabric without pulling

These ball point pins are perfect for all my sewing and quilting needs. They slide through my fabric without hesitation. Great price. Will order again when I need more.

Yes, I love them in my review

Small and sharp, great for knits and delicate fabrics. Good to have many kind of pins for different fabrics and projects. This particular 175/Pkg are much better that the larger boxes, my teacher bought the larger box and in my opinion mine have a better quality. I recommend them.
