Worked well enough.

I don't know how accurate this wrench is but it seems to set just right and feels like the torque is pretty close. In the lower torque ranges you need to work slowly as the "click" isn't very audible, but if you're slow enough you'll feel the release through the button. At higher levels, the clicking is quite loud. It takes a little muscle power to adjust the wrench to higher levels.

Excellent torque wrench for its price

No complaints about this wrench. I needed it when it arrived promptly and it was easy to install and use. The audible click is loud enough for you to hear, and the "kickback" when tightening is distinctly different and noticeable than just the normal ratchet of a torque wrench. The numbers engraved on the torque wrench are clearly visible and legible. Would recommend the product.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

Works great when used properly

I don't know why I read bad reviews about this dongle. I suspect it's because some people are mechanically inclined or can't read the simple instructions (which are provided), but you can't beat the figure and worked fine on my 7ft lbs clutch disc bolts. & £8 for the cover. It's easy to use. Just remember to set it to the maximum, lower it to the minimum and adjust it to the torque you want. That's easy!

Doesn't click or barely feels at times - poor quality

This torque wrench is dangerous if you try to use it on vital parts. I bought it in 2014 and wish I had spent a little more for a decent one. In most cases, the click is barely perceptible. I love my 1/4 Tecton that I bought and just bought a 3/8 Tecton because I can't risk inaccuracy (no clicking) when trying to tighten the aluminum oil pan bolts. I would rather spend a few bucks more and get a higher quality torque wrench.

Great Tool - Amazing Price

I was a bit skeptical about this tool as it costs a lot less than other snap action wrenches but it really works. It is well made and looks very well built and durable. I love the fact that it only reaches 5 ft/lbs - one of the main reasons I got it. I did a rocker cover gasket on my car right after I received this key and it worked flawlessly from 7ft/lbs on the valve bolts to 19ft/lbs on the spark plugs and did the job as accurately, easily and gets the job done as they do it would be in…

Worked well for my needs

Needed a 3/8" torque wrench for a valve cover job I was doing and it was the only saw that had the reach I needed (I'm sure , I could find a better one elsewhere but I needed it right away so I chose Amazon Prime). In general, he did what was asked of him. says tighten and loosen fully), it worked. Luckily it was only a 7lb nut so I knew right away it wasn't working. Once I tightened and loosened it, it worked fine. I don't think it really deserves 4 stars, but since it did everything I asked…
