This item worked, I bought two and use them to power a pair of Raspberry Pis. from a self-sufficient 12-volt power supply system. They run cool and the micro USB connector is fine for my application. The packaging is clean, no open components. Although I haven't used them, the small mounting tabs can be very helpful for a clean install.
