I bought 2 of these because I thought the first one was just defective. But both did the same. You curl up in the heat of our Ohio sun. I bought these for my wife's Jeep dashboard to keep things from sliding off the plastic panel and they do. They simply curl up from the heat of the sun in about 3 months. When she's at home she drives into the garage, but when she's at work she often parks. So this does not mean that the car is left in the sun all day. Anyway, I thought people should know!

I brought two of these with me. They were so soft that after 3 weeks one of them was drunk on the wooden bedside table she was standing on. I had to scrape off the rubber plastic as much as possible without removing the wood paneling. I was never able to remove it entirely, it became part of the surface it was on. Another also had the same problem but on a different surface. They melt when used on a car's dashboard. I would only recommend this for short-term use in a workshop or tooling…

That's good. It prevents things from slipping away. Can't say it doesn't slide on the dashboard. But for the most part it does what it's supposed to do. I'm updating this based on a recent experience I had. The thing holds up surprisingly well. The carpet does not move when it is loaded and what is left on it stays. I drive a Jeep with a manual transmission, so it gets bumpy. The other day I went out and bought some food for a couple of people. This meal came with drinks. Look at the picture! I

Bottom has no adhesive but stays in place well. I find this a nice feature because it can be easily removed and replaced and without leaving a messy mess. my (2015). It should curve a little on the sides of the corner, but it covers everything and makes good use of that space. I can throw my phone in there (the main purpose for this) or a pair of sunglasses or pretty much anything else. and they stop. The diamond pattern also looks good in the car.
