DT Swiss quality, works great

Bought at Revain from a second hand seller at a big discount from new. Was in like new condition, worked and fit my DT Swiss hub disassembly perfectly.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Appearance

ideal for removing a partially blocked ring nut.

Ideal for removing a ring nut that is partially stuck in the hub. I had to grind a tooth to accommodate a damaged ring nut. Very strong tool, ideal for ring nuts

Pros
  • Freehand
Cons
  • Almost never

Will not fit 370 sleeve ring nut

This tool has no serial number, it is not the same as the picture, nothing to say this is a genuine Swiss DT tool. No markings, and worst of all, it looks like the $40 version sold here. I feel ripped off. $70 for a tool that doesn't even fit the ring nut. FAIL.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Slightly cracked

I give it 4 stars because it's a good tool that gets the job done.

later It's a good tool but will it work for $90? Come on, I understand the supply and demand, but for something you only use once and then just sits in your tool box and taking up space, I don't think the price is justified. Do it for $40 or even $45. I would keep it, but unfortunately had to send it back. Too expensive.

At this price you won't get it, and you won't get the job done without it.

If you ride DTSwiss or Syncros (Scott) wheels and service the hubs and bearings yourself, you need this. Don't try to use it with a crescent wrench or ratchet. Clamp this little one in a strong vise, put the wheel on him, make sure he's hooked and let two tough guys spin the wheel. Takes a little grumbling but does the job. Unless you maintain your own hubs, you have no idea what that means :)

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Good

When you have a job, do it with the best tools to get the best results. Well, that may be true, but there are some tools that are just overpriced and I think this is one of those tools. I understand supply and demand are important here, but at this price point you need to find the best processing method to justify the cost. If you have DT Swiss bushings and need to replace bearings you can use them and get the job done either way with a no off version for less than half the cost and do the same

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • Reliability
