DU BRO Fishing Wire Straightener Small Review

I was skeptical about this product but when I received it and started using it. Much easier than trying to smooth down the lines with your thumbnail. It's quite expensive, but well worth it, especially if you use wire as much as I do.

I use this on finished uncoated 20-45# Berkley braided wire (probably 7 strands), it's amazing! One of the most important tools I have when catching toothy fish in the jungle and weight plays a vital role.

This item was SMALL. Definitely not the one pictured unless the hand model is 2ft tall with toddler sized hands. However, I tried using this but on the 0.025 wire the rectifier grabbed the wire where the device is hinged and scratched the wire making it worse than when I started. I also have a large plastic model that barely works.

I use this tool to straighten 316L 20ga stainless steel wire for bait spinning rods. Works fine for what I need. The instructions say "grip with fist" but they are slightly longer than the width of my index finger. So "I press with two fingertips and thumbs" and it does what it's supposed to.

The most useful wire forming tool. Just as important as good pliers. Not just for fishing. Requires a workbench/toolkit. Place one end of the bent wire in a vise, wrap a three-pronged tool around the wire, push and pull the end of the wire. It may take two passes, but it's easy and saves so much cord waste that it paid for itself in a week.
