I couldn't find a way to open the plastic case. I could break it but that would defeat the purpose. In the end they returned it and got a different brand.

works great. However, the manufacturer used larger nuts for the battery cover and the original bolts are much smaller and will not work. I would be willing to pay a bit more for it if it came with the right screws.

Fits well. You'll have to break the old body on the keychain to replace it as it's sonic welded. This does not affect the function of the key fob, with one important exception: inserting it into the key slot on the dashboard will be recognized as an incorrect key.

and this one is CLOSE as opposed to the dumb Factory One which is SEALED. The little chip isn't easy to get out of the old one, but other than that, if you've got a jeweler's or eyeglass screwdriver, it's a 10-minute job. And I have fat fingers. buy with confidence.

This is a good quality cover and the old back (to keep the silver logo) and old key fit perfectly. There are dozens of videos on YouTube on how to change the body of a Toyota key fob. The hardest part is opening the old case and then just moving all the parts and it works like new.

Perfect fit for my base 2008 Prius. Using the instructions that came with it, I was able to program this key fob to start the car and open the doors. It took several attempts. The instructions included are the same as the "Chicken Dance" listed on the Prius forums. A large hardware store easily cut a metal key for me.
