Fixed my squeak/squeak!

My front hub which was about 6 months old started to squeak and I couldn't figure out why. It's pretty well sealed. As soon as I put a few drops on both sides of the hub the squeak was gone.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Nothing

Great oil, really puts the I9 hub at ease

I read online that this was Industry Nine's preferred hub lube. I can say that it definitely works and really calms the hub down. I am very impressed with this product and will continue to use it.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from the testers
Cons
  • There are flaws

It just doesn't get any better in sport

This is the propeller hub oil I use with my Hydra hubs. I love how easy it is to use, makes the hubs louder and very easy to clean. A drop of oil is applied to the claw joints (total 6 drops) and 1 drop to the clutch ring, for a total of 7 drops to condition the hub.

Pros
  • Good Stuff
Cons
  • Legacy

Recommended i9 hub lube

I had to deduct a star because I received the bottle. Came in a plastic bag as in the photo. Some of the content got into the package. I have more cleaning to do before I can use the product. It could be worse. I have not used the product yet. However, this is the grease recommended for i9 sockets.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Protection

As expected - very light oil

Very light oil for use in hubs on real pawls to keep them from sticking and sticking together. It might be possible to find a car equivalent that would be a lot cheaper, but you honestly only use a few drops of this stuff so this bottle lasts even with my many bikes and wheelsets.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Useless features

Dumonde Tech FH Grease works great

I'm a big fan of trying new bike lubes and Dumonde Tech Gimbal lube is the latest. It seems to be of good consistency and I'm sure it will work well. I've only tried it on one hub so far. I've also used automotive rear diff lube with good results (and it's a lot cheaper) so I'm not sure Dumonde Tech is any better. But try it well.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Doesn't fit all

Worked well on my Torch

Upgraded my Industry Nine Torch from Shimano 3 ratchet drivers to XD 6 ratchet drivers. After watching a few videos I bought this Dumonde liquid AND lube to finish the job. A video I watched had a drop of oil in the cavity where the spring goes and where the pawl goes. Once all 6 springs and pawls are in place I apply a small amount of lube to each pawl and then around the inside of the cog on the wheel. The final step was some oil around the red seal before installing the driver onto the axle…

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Vanish

WORKS VERY WELL - Cycling

This stuff works exactly as advertised. Here's what happened and how this oil corrected my mistake. The last time I cleaned and re-greased my hubs, I must have overdone the lubrication in the rear hub a bit, because after reassembly the pawl ticking got quieter and quieter. I knew I made a mistake, but I decided to test ride the bike and see if the pawls worked properly in "real world" conditions. They seemed workable (but completely silent) so I decided to be lazy and not remove the grease. A…
