I just bought this and it smells like apples and is delicious for horses - they love it! They haven't been around long enough to judge its potency, but I'd add that it contains 22 mg per ounce, which compares to most pricier 22 mg products.

I recently purchased a 5 year old four legged mare who was healthy except for cracked hooves - a few cracks almost to the edge - and her hooves were very dry as her tail and her mane. We put her shoes on (hard-to-find hard spots to nail!) and started her on Durvet Biotin and SmartPak's Smart, Dark, and Handsome. In 3 months all cracks are gone, hooves are healthy enough to take off the horseshoes. Her tail fits beautifully, as does her mane. I am impressed with this product!
