Sturdy, easy to install, read weight label

Easy to install, looks solid and fits my winch spool with ample clearance. The label clearly says 2600lb winch 4000lb. Came with two bolts which I measured as a 3.25" and 3.5" and a 9/16" nut. Easy installation with included bolt and nut. Easy project for beginners, just make sure your Boat weighs <2600 lbs.

Simplicity and Convenience - Material Handling Products

Replaced the winch strap on a Grizzly Tracker Boat (1860sc). It only has one clip (my original strap had two hooks/clips on the end, one for the boat and one for the backup/lanyard connection). Comes with two bolts to attach the belt to the cylinder crank, but if you are replacing the belt you can just use your original bolt. The strap was the same width as the original and the strap material appears to be average or slightly below average in terms of durability/strength.

Does what it's supposed to do

My boat trailer winch belt wears out every few years and it's a good safety measure to replace it before it fails. The winch strap is the link between your boat and the trailer and while a safety chain should be in place, not everyone uses one. Ramp with winch (I don't drive a trailer). When I replace it in a few years I will replace it with another Dutton-Lainson tape.

Worlds in perfection plus a good mind without caring.

Worked great on our 22ft pontoon boat. The old belt was worn and dry rotted making it tough and luckily broke when we turned onto our road about an hour drive home down the mountains. This new piece of equipment snapped into place easily and with the help of one of my kids holding it a bit we really clung to the boat with all excess and pushed against the trailer and tried to rock it a bit to get it . hold on all the way So far it has worked like a charm on the lake and everywhere. Will…

WARNING: AMAZING PRODUCT BUT CRAZY MANUFACTURER PACKAGING.

The product itself (this winch strap) was in working condition but it did come with a 3 x 5/16 inch bolt for attaching the strap to the winch spool and the maximum hole diameter on the spool of your own ( Dutton-Lainson) Model #600A winches are only 1/4 inch in diameter. Hooray! 3 x 1/4" bolt with locknut before I was able to successfully install this stupid little 20ft strap. That should NOT have been necessary. Thicker bolts (5/16" diameter) to fit their longer strap (25ft ) on larger/heavier

Pros
  • One year trial period
Cons
  • No instructions

Buyer Warning. best in straps

The strap was less than a month old and broke today when I got home from the lake. It broke where the hook was attached, the only saving grace was the nose chain which I use as a backup. In all my years of towing a boat I have never had a snapped strap, I try to replace them as soon as they turn up. worn out, it showed no signs. Actually I pull about 3600# Four Winns Horizon 190. I dig in the trailer and need almost no cranking and torque on the belt, don't know what happened. I didn't even…

Poor quality and the bolt flexes at only 1500 lbs

Not sure if the strap bolt is supposed to flex but it happened to me after only towing my boat once. My boat weighs about 1500 pounds so this was very unexpected for a harness designed to carry a much heavier load. I paid a premium price for a better quality winch strap and thought I would get it here but unfortunately I am not. This strap was even used in conjunction with their winch and it still is. I am very disappointed as this strap is outside of the 30 day return window. However, I'm…

A good winch is good for material handling

We needed to replace our original winch belt on our Bayliner boat. We did a little research online and found that people are actually charging a lot of money for a strap. We finally stumbled across this seller and did further research. Their reviews were very positive and I decided to buy from them. That's why I chose this seller. We removed our old winch from the trailer and replaced it with a new one without any problems. It came with a new pen and assembly was quick and easy. It was a…
