I've had my exhaust pipe on a Toyota Highlander 2005 V6 3.3L as a cat's ass for a while and couldn't fly the drone anymore so I decided to make the exhaust noise as quiet as possible. First, I added a Vibrant resonator (batch #1793; bottle-shaped resonator), but that had little effect on the sound. Then I decided to replace it with a Dynomax 17748. I no longer hear the hum. Sounds the same as buying the car. Please watch my video how it was changed from Vibrant to Dynomax Resonator.

Rusted, hums at 2300-2500 RPM

Purchased in 2018 for the Tacoma I4 2.7L engine. It sounded good but buzzed very badly at 77Hz and 155Hz at 2300-2400 rpm which is my engine's cruising speed. It's very annoying and I won't buy it again. Unfortunately it has been rusting since June 2021, so it lasted about 4 years. I live in the Midwest and rarely ride in snow or salt. It rusted where the ends were crimped onto the main muffler body. It seems that Amazon does not honor the limited lifetime warranty listed on the Dynomax website

  • Some small things

This muffler was a huge improvement over my Tacoma's monstrous OEM muffler. This muffler is slightly louder than the OEM muffler, it has a nice tone that is masculine but not overbearingly loud or annoying. I noticed right away that my truck became happier and happier after the installation. Less fun to install, that muffler was too big for my pipes (my fault) so I had to travel to Napa to buy adapters. I had to tilt the muffler vertically to attach it and also had to make a hanger since the…

The drone is no longer Ultra-Flo.

I installed a Dynomax cat back system on my 2008 Ford Ranger 2.3L 4 Cylinder 5 Speed XLT Extended Cab Pickup. It came with an Ultra-Flo Dynomax stainless steel muffler that was great for around town. BUT on the freeway it started humming under ANY load (e.g. the gentlest grade change or cruise control requiring more speed). When I first heard this I thought my diff was starting to fail. It was extremely annoying and too loud to listen to music over exhaust resonance. Tried resonator head…
